I’ve read the first chapter of War Pigeons by Elizabeth Macalaster. Her scholarship is impeccable and the story of the work done by the pigeons who served in the United States Navy reveals the important role the pigeons played in that branch of the military. Excellent reading if you want to learn about pigeons!
